Salary: $45,760 - 52,000 per year Requirements:

• 2–5 years of helpdesk, IT support, desktop support, or related experience
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
• Comfortable configuring and deploying computers, monitors, docks, and peripherals
• Strong troubleshooting ability and sound judgment
• Professional communication skills and patience when assisting non-technical users
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
• Comfortable with occasional overnight and multi-day travel
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality in a professional-services environment
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
• Preferred experience with Windows imaging or deployment, Microsoft Active Directory, networking fundamentals, ticketing systems, conference room A/V, Teams or Zoom, endpoint security, email security, patch management, firewalls, or legal practice management software
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is a plus

• Serve as a primary contact for daily technology issues and questions
• Troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, printers, scanners, and peripherals
• Support firm-issued iOS and Android devices, including email, MFA, and application setup
• Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, escalating when appropriate
• Maintain IT documentation, quick-reference guides, and records of recurring issues
• Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, docks, and other peripherals
• Prepare technology for new hires, replacements, and equipment refreshes
• Assist with new-hire IT onboarding and provide basic technology orientation
• Support employee offboarding, including equipment retrieval and related logistics
• Maintain accurate equipment inventory and an organized IT stockroom
• Travel to our Topeka, Garden City, and Augusta offices to provide hands-on IT support
• Assist with office moves, acquisitions, technology integrations, and go-live activities
• Set up and test conference room technology for meetings, depositions, and presentations, including displays, video conferencing, audio, and cabling
• As experience and performance develop, potentially take on advanced responsibilities requiring elevated administrative access

We are Morris Laing, a Kansas law firm serving businesses and individuals throughout the state and region since 1945. Our attorneys draw on experience, knowledge, and teamwork to provide legal services, while our IT team helps keep attorneys and staff productive, secure, and connected. We are hiring a full-time IT Support Specialist for a new role on our growing technology team, primarily based in our downtown Wichita office, with regular travel to our Topeka, Garden City, and Augusta offices; Garden City trips may occasionally involve overnight stays. The position offers $22–$25 per hour, 40 hours per week, standard weekday business hours with occasional flexibility for deployments and office transitions, and mileage reimbursement at the current IRS standard rate. It is non-exempt and benefits-eligible, with health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) and Roth retirement plans, a flexible spending account, health savings account, and paid time off. After-hours support is not expected at the outset and will be discussed as responsibilities and access evolve.
