Company OverviewPantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.Position OverviewPantheon Data has a need for a Senior Naval Architect that is looking to continue their maritime experience. This candidate will work within the Ship Design Team to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard on a variety of acquisition and sustainment projects. ResponsibilitiesReview Naval Architecture design work related to stability, speed, power.Conduct, witness, and document tests including stability, speed, power, maneuvering, and seakeeping trials.Review and provide guidance on shipboard structural components and arrangements.Review and provide feedback on design reviews for compliance and alignment with project goals.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, and customer teams to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery.Required Skills and ExperienceExperience with naval architecture software solving complex problems regarding hull design;Experience with corrosion principles of metals for surface assets and boats;Knowledge of USN, USCG, IACS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.Experience and Certification Requirement6 years of Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering designing functional internal and topside arrangements for marine vessels, preparation of functional studies of stability and safety, studies and calculations for determination of machinery.Experience with Government or commercial shipbuilding programs.DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.Education Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in a Technical, Engineering, or Marine field. Clearance RequirementsApplicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements. Ability to obtain Public Trust prior to hire and maintain during employment is required.Work Location: Hybrid - three (3) days a week at USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)Our company prioritizes the benefits of flexibility and collaboration, whether that happens in person or remotely.If the position is remote or hybrid, you may periodically work from a Pantheon Data office location or client site.If this position is assigned to a Pantheon Data office location or client site, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person, as needed for specific client requirements.CompensationThe salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
